Day Five Hundred and Twenty-Six - Weigh in #75 - Super Bowl Blues

This year was a lot different than last year's Super Bowl week for me.  Reading back over the post I made last year really showed how much more discipline I was showing back then.  I'm growing frustrated at the weakness I've allowed to become a habit since the holidays.  I've relied on my runs to keep me from gaining weight, while eating whatever I wanted to eat.  The problem is that with my back pain and then the Flu, I wasn't able to workout.  This week has been hard to get back into a good workout routine, but I know I can do it.  I need to get to bed early, and the up each morning to run.  I know this will be easier once the weather starts to warm back up.

My weigh in today was even worse than I was expecting.  If I hadn't ridden the bike last night, it only would have been worse.  When I stepped onto the scale this week, I had gained 5.8 lbs.  This brings my total loss back to 154 lbs., with a current weight of 212.2 lbs.  Now I know that a lot of this is bloating from the really poor eating over the weekend.  I've emptied my office of candy, and I am committed to getting back on track.  I am going to finish what I started.  I will lose my butter half.

My calories today were much better.  I still ate more candy than I wanted to (like I said, I emptied my office of it), but I did really well not to snack unnecessarily.  The only downfall for today was that Bekah made delicious homemade bread.  I had too much of it while it was warm, with butter on it.  It may have been within my calories, but I can definitely tell that I am too full now.  My exercise today was great.  I rode the recumbent this morning, and then ran nearly five miles tonight.  That was the longest I have run since I had the Flu.  To be honest, it was really tough.  I know I'll be feeling it tomorrow.
