Day Five Hundred and Sixty-One - Weigh in #80 - Great Day Off

I’m pretty sure that I’ve said before that one my favorite times of the year is March.  When post-season college basketball is in full swing, there is an excitement that is only matched by Christmastime.  For our house this excitement is only amplified during UK games!  Watching Kentucky basketball has been a major part of my life since I was a little boy, and I love doing it with my wife and kids.  Another exciting part of the Maech Madness are the upsets.  The games that hardly anyone predicts the small school defeating a larger one.  During this tournament it happens every year.  It even happened today.

I know you aren’t reading this to hear me ramble about my love of basketball.  You want to know how my weigh in went.  If you remember, last week’s weigh in wasn’t so great.  After our Michigan trip, I had gone up nearly 7.5 lbs.  Well, I’m glad to say that this weeks weigh in was better.  In fact, when I stepped on the scale I was down another 3.0 lbs.  This brought my current weight back down to 213.2 lbs., and a total weight loss of 153 lbs. even.  I know it isn't everything that I had put on, but it is definitely back on the right track!  I know I haven't been as consistent as I was in the past, but I'm working on that now.  I am finding my discipline again, and I know I can finish losing my butter half!

My calories were good today. That isn’t something that usually do well when I’m home. I actually avoided snacking even while watching several hours of basketball today.  For dinner tonight we had hummus and pita crackers.  I didn't do a good job of counting out my calories, and  I ate too many pita crackers.  Still, overall it was a good day.  My run this afternoon was really good.  The weather was incredible.  It was seventy-five degrees with a slight breeze.  I couldn't have asked for more perfect conditions.
