Day Six Hundred and Seventeen - Weigh in #88 - Seeing Some Progress
I know I didn't post it on here, but last Friday I weighed just to see where I was at. I weighed in at 227 lbs. and I was beyond frustrated with myself. I knew I had gone up, but I didn't realize it was that bad. I know some it of was bloat (and I'm sure some of it still is there), but it was obvious that my clothes were fitting like they were in February and March. My lack of discipline to track my food was evident. There are still some things I'm not doing well. I haven't been weighing my food at each meal like I used to. I am working to get back into that habit. Tonight I was careful to weigh my chicken and be sure that I was sticking to my calorie goal. Another habit that I have broken and replaced with a bad habit is eating at night. I am snacking WAY too much each evening. The idea of eating at night was something that I wouldn't have considered last year. The snacks have got to stop. It's hard on my gut, and it ruins a good day of calorie counting. Finally, I have to start counting out my servings when it comes to chips or crackers (and I need to eat them less).
My weigh in today was encouraging. When I stepped onto the scale I was down 3.2 lbs. This brings my current weight to 223.8 lbs., with a total amount lost of 142.4 lbs. I want to get back to being at 150 lbs. down or more. It was pretty discouraging when I saw myself back over the 216.2 mark. I am encouraged by this weigh in that it won't take too long for me to get back under that weight. For the first time in weeks I can feel some progress being made. I'm motivated, and I know I am back on track to lose my butter half.
My calories today were really good. I was careful to stay within my goal, and even weighed out my meat at dinner. My lunch wasn't super healthy, but it was delicious. Bekah brought home some food truck hibachi chicken and rice. The spring rolls were awesome! Everything was great until tonight. I had a bunch of Cheez-its, and then on top of that I had graham cracker ice cream sandwiches (it was Halo Top, but still). On the bright side, I had a great run today. I put in a 10K with 6.3 miles. It was not an easy run, but when I finished, I was really excited. When you push through and finish a long run like that, it inspires you and triggers and deep satisfaction through a sense of accomplishment.
