Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Seven


It's been a very long day.  From working on the office to getting my professional head shots tonight, it has worn me out.  My calories weren't great, but they weren't bad also.  I could have done better, but overall I'm satisfied with how my day went.  I ate a few too many calories, and I also missed my run. On the other hand, I mowed the lawn for two hours late this evening.  I know it isn't a run, but I did walk around three miles as I mowed and trimmed.  I'm hoping everything has balanced out and I have good results from today.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Six



Today was a really good day. It was absolutely crazy and non-stop all day long. I actually missed eating lunch and had a late snack instead. I feel like I drove all over creation, but the great thing is that the majority of what I was looking to do today is complete. My calories, amazingly, were really solid, and I am very grateful for that. My workout this morning went well. I put in three miles followed with a twelve minute bike ride on the recumbent. I wore my new Ghost 10s, and it was a great reminder of how awesome these shoes are. I look forward to putting another 597 miles in this pair.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Five



This has been a great week so far. I’ve focused on making wise decisions and sticking to my calorie goals. I’ve been making such horrible decisions for the past few months, it feels so much more satisfying knowing that I am making progress again. My calories were on target again today and my run went awesome. I put in a full five mile run and I’m very happy I did. The five miles put me over the six hundred mile mark for my Brooks Ghost 10s. I’m amazed that these shoes held up so well. I’m breaking in my replacement pair of Ghost 10s tomorrow morning. I also put in another quick ride on the recumbent this morning. It always feels great to stretch my legs with a quick ride after my run.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Four



Today has been great! I stuck with my calorie goal and was careful not to overeat. It is always encouraging to start settling down for the night and having the encouragement of knowing that I did well today. Whatever your goals, strive for that feeling. Strive for the satisfaction of a day that goes in the win column. On top of that I got up early this morning and put in a 5K and a bike ride on my recumbent. It is great knowing that I don’t need to put in a second workout this evening.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Four



Today was much better. I stuck to my calorie goals and have come to the end of the day having avoided snacking on a bunch of junk food. I have to get everything back under control. I need four to five weeks of eating like I did today. I know if I can keep my focus and stay disciplined, I will get back to where I was at the beginning of the year and hit my final goal. My run today went well, but it wasn’t as long as I felt like I needed. I’m glad I was able to get on the recumbent bike tonight and get a second workout in.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Three



So today was a great, and then I ruined it snacking tonight. It was stupid, but I can’t change it now. On the bright side, we finally went shopping and got some fruits and veggies. I’m looking forward to healthy meals tomorrow. I didn’t get to run this morning. Thankfully I did get a quick ride on the bike  this evening. I know it isn’t the same as a run, but I’m glad I could get the ride in after all the snacks I had tonight.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Two



It's been a very busy day.  We had lunch with some friends which was really great.  Sometimes it's rejuvenating just to spend time away from the business to just talk with friends.  Even though the patrons and staff of the Arby's probably were a little annoyed by the kids running around, they were very kind and didn't let on.  I ate too many fries and split a mini milkshake with B, so that is something I need to make sure to avoid next time.  We ran all over the place making decisions on paint and flooring for the rest of the day.  By the time we got home it was just time to grab a quick slice of cold pizza and get the kids to bed.  So it was not a great day for calories, but it could have been much worse.  We have to get to the store for fruits and vegetables tomorrow.  My run this morning went well.  I wanted to put in another five miles, but I ran out of time.  I know most mornings this week it'll be hard just to put in four miles.  I may have to get back to just putting in three to four miles most mornings, and then a long run on Saturdays.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-One



Overall my calorie intake today was pretty good. It was more than I would have preferred, but it wasn’t so much that I feel like I completely failed. I didn’t eat great foods though. The only good part was the chicken breast and carrots at dinner. I got a great run in though. I ran five miles!  I don’t know if I’ve put in a five mile run in a long time. It felt great! Well, completing it felt great. Running it was pretty terrible! I’m one step closer to running six miles. It’s been a while, and I want to get back to running six miles several days a week. On top of that, I put in a quick one mile trot this evening. I like getting a quick run in late in the evening to clear my head.

Day Six Hundred and Sixty



So my calories today weren’t great. I messed up by eating too much pizza at dinner. I’ll have to be a little better tomorrow and watch what choices I make. I know I can get back to a regular routine of utilizing the processes that led to the success that I’ve experienced in the past year and a half. On a positive note, I ran four plus miles today. It felt really nice to get up early and get out before the heat set in. I am definitely feeling this extra weight I’m carrying right now. Gotta drop it ASAP.
