Day Six Hundred and Ninety-Five

It’s been another late night working on the office. I have the best family and friends to help me get this business of the ground! My run today was really solid, and I followed it up by mowing the grass. After that it’s been a full day(and night) at the office. My calories were really good until dinner when we ate Larry’s Pizza. Having a buffet less than a mile from my office my be a bad thing. Anyways, it is way past time for me to sleep, have a great day tomorrow!

Day Six Hundred and Ninety-Four

It’s been a long day so I’ll make this brief. My run felt good this morning. I got a quick 3 miles in and got started with my packed day. My eating wasn’t too bad for calories, but what I ate was all snack foods. I have to be more disciplined and structured to lose this weight. I’m thankful I have tomorrow to try again!

Day Six Hundred And Ninety-Two Through Ninety-Three

I had a really good day calorie wise. I stayed in my goal, but I ate too many crackers and cheese tonight for a late dinner. Getting this agency up and running has been a lot more stressful than I could have imagined. Still, the joy of seeing my name on the sign is hard to describe.  Bekah and I have spent the last two days putting chairs together, and we still have more to do tomorrow. Bekah’s eye for decorating has been very helpful, and she’s been great at helping find things that fit my style. My run this morning went really well. I put in a solid four miles, which I’m hoping to replicate tomorrow morning. The only way I can do that is if I get off of here and get some sleep. Here’s to another day of running!

Days Six Hundred and Eighty-Eight Through Ninety-One

Just a brief update. I’m still working hard to run each day. I missed a couple runsbon sunday and Monday. Mainly because I am crazy busy trying to get the agency open, but also because of not getting up early enough to run in the morning. The heat is so tough the rest of the day it’s hard to convince myself to get outside and run in the ninety degree (and higher) weather. My eating has not been good. I have to get it back on track. I really am looking forward to the routine of being back ina. 9-5 schedule. It will be good to have structure again.

Day Six Hundred And Eighty-Two Through Eighty-Seven

I’m fully aware that I’ve been MIA since last Saturday night. I had one final business trip for training in Dallas. It was crazy busy and I’ve been going non-stop all week. I did manage to run a few days while I was down there (even in the insane heat!), and on Sunday I spent the day walking around Six Flags and riding roller coasters! I didn’t run on Wednesday or Thursday, but I got back out there today and put in a solid three miles followed with a ride on the recumbent bike. My eating had been atrocious this week, but I did much better today. I have to get this all back on track and in a good routine. Tomorrow should be good.

Day Six Hundred and Eighty-One

My calories today weren’t quite as good as yesterday. The big difference for today was that I ate too much snacks. Also, I had a few fries with my chicken wrap from Sonic. My run however was amazing! I ran a full 10K (6.25 miles actually), which was the first time I had done that Since the middle of May!  It was really tough, and there moments that I wasn’t sure that I would make the whole distance. I use a lot of self-motivation, and I made it through. I want to get back to running a 10K on a regular basis.

Day Six Hundred and Eighty

Today was a good day for calories.  I did eat a little more than I had planned, and had a few french fries from McDonalds (but I did get a grilled snack wrap over a burger or nuggets).  I ate a healthy salad for dinner, but the best part of the day was that I avoided snacking unnecessarily.  I burned lots of calories today.  I ran 3.2 miles this morning, and followed that up with twelve minutes on the recumbent.  Then I went out in the morning heat and mowed, trimmed, and edged the lawn.  It was a full day of exercise (along with moving furniture to the office this evening), and I am definitely going to be feeling it tomorrow.

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-Nine

For tonight's post I want to make it as brief as possible, so that I can get some sleep.  I want to get up really early in the morning so that I can condition myself as I get closer to opening my agency.  I'll be having to be up and running between 5:30 and 6:00 AM each morning, and I need to get my body used to this.  Today was great!  I did really well with my calorie intake (first time in about two weeks), and even though I do feel like I didn't eat a lot, I am satisfied.  I want to make sure that I stick to this for the next few days.  These next weeks will be crazy for me, so there is a good chance that I will miss a few entries while I'm prepping to open in August.  My run this morning went well.  I got my time down to 9:03/mile which is really encouraging.  I want to get back to an 8:30/mile average.  The only way this will happen is if I keep running consistently, and lose the weight that I've put back one.  I know I can do this.  I just need to avoid all of the stress eating!

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-Eight

I am feeling quite a bit better now. I still have some chest congestion, but it won’t be long before I’m back to one hundred percent! Today was better for my calories. It wasn’t perfect, but it was much better. I know tomorrow will be even better, and by this time next week I should be back on track. My run this morning was not easy, but I did run at a 9:11/mile average. That was a good feeling. I also put in nearly twenty minutes on the recumbent. Tomorrow I’m hoping to put in another solid workout!

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-Seven

I’m still not 100 percent, but I did get a run in. My calories on the other hand weren’t the best. I’ll have to do better tomorrow. While I’m not feeling great, I’m happy that was able to get and run this morning. Hopefully, I can get rest and have an excellent day tomorrow!

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-Six

Well it was a sick day today. I guess my immune system has been down from the lack of slee and I’ve caught a cold. I’m hoping to be back on the pavement in the morning. I ate too much sugar today (which is terrible for me trying to heal). Anyway, time for some shut-eye.

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-Five

So today has been an ok day for calories. It wasn’t quite what I had hoped it would be. I ate too much popcorn and candy, but overall, it could have been worse. I really don’t feel well. I have a cold starting up. Lots of sinus pressure and stuffiness. I’m going to get some good sleep tonight and try to fight it off early. NyQuil will be a good friend tonight. Thankfully I got a full run in this morning and a ride on the recumbent this morning before I started feeling worse. Anyways, it’s time for bed y’all!

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-Three & Seventy-Four

Just a quick update. I was so exhausted last night that I didn’t blog. I took the day off, and fell asleep really early. Tonight I feel about the same. Completely exhausted. I had a great day getting office preparation done and a trip to our Zoo with the fam. The kids enjoyed the event announcing the gender of a baby gorilla born two weeks ago. It is a boy!  I had. A great run this morning followed by a three mile ride on my recumbent. Neither day was terrible, but they weren’t perfect either. I want to have seven straight days of perfect eating starting tomorrow.

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-Two

So, it is really late and I am thoroughly exhausted. I didn’t even bother tracking calories today (which I completely blew by eating out and then having popcorn, candy, and coke tonight at a movie. We saw Ant Man and The Wasp. It was a great movie!  My run and recumbent ride bith went great this morning. Now to get some shuteye so I can get up and do better tomorrow!

Day Six Hundred and Seventy-One - Happy 4th of July!

I am so grateful to live in a country with the freedom to change my lifestyle and get healthy. I don’t have to live dictated by a king or tyrant, and I am free to make healthy (or unhealthy) lifestyle decisions. So whatever your political leaning or faith, join me in celebrating the nation that allows us to live how we see best, even though that may be different than what everyone else wants. It’s something none of us should ever take for granted, nor should we try to take that away from anyone else.
I also hope everyone else did better than I did with eating. I did put in five miles this morning. I also hope everyone got to enjoy a quality pyrotechnics show this evening. Our local city display was great!

Day Six Hundred and Seventy

Today was an “OK” day. It went well until dinner, and then I made the mistake of eating chips. I didn’t need to eat them, but I did anyway. I also ate too many Mike & Ike’s. My run this morning was good. I was able to get a quick recumbent bike ride in after my run. I really enjoy the brief bike rides after my run. It keeps my body in “riding shape” while loosening my muscles from the run. I’m looking forward to a 4th of July run tomorrow!

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Nine

Well today wasn’t great. I had too much at dinner. I have to be more careful tomorrow. This is two days I a row that haven’t been great. It’s so frustrating to ruin a good day of eating by overeating at dinner. I did have a really good run this morning. I put in a 5K and then rode for a little bit on the recumbent bike. I need to get some sleep so I will have the energy to run in the morning!

Day Six Hundred and Sixty-Eight

So my day was interesting. I had to meet my painters early this morning for them to get started paining the office. My parents got into town late lst night, so between talking to them late into the night and having to be up at the crack of dawn I’m tired. My calories were pretty bad today. We grilled out tonight with my family, and I didn’t even to track my calories. My run this morning was great!  I ran around the block by my work.  I realized today how many hills there are on  the streets near my office. I completely underestimated the hills and it completely whipped my tail. Thankfully, I made 4.3 miles!
